TFC: Embryo Biomarkers Key to Predicting IVF Success
Austin, Texas – December 12, 2011 – Texas Fertility Center physician Dr. Kaylen Silverberg, MD, has been asked to serve as the principal investigator on a worldwide embryo biomarker study that could lead to a more precise method of selecting viable embryos for transfer in IVF cycles. Texas Fertility Center's Dr. Silverberg to Present Innovative Progesterone Research Study at ASRM 2010
Austin, Texas –October 1, 2010 - Patients who conceive via in vitro fertilization require treatment with progesterone to support the pregnancy until the placenta takes over. In the past, this has meant painful intramuscular injections. New research conducted by the Texas Fertility Center in Austin, Texas, shows that this is no longer the case. In October, Dr. Kaylen Silverberg will present his findings at the 66th annual meeting of American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) in Denver, Colorado demonstrating the superiority of a novel vaginal progesterone compared to injectable progesterone. Dr. Vaughn to Present Groundbreaking Research at ASRM 2010: Study Shows Single Embryo Implantation Proven Successful
Austin, Texas – August 18, 2010 - At the 66th annual meeting of American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), Dr. Thomas Vaughn will present the findings from his clinical study of outcomes in young patients who are good candidates for single embryo transfer. Vaughn, the founding partner of Texas Fertility Center, studied the results of implantation in 199 women; 31 chose to have one embryo implanted, while 168 chose to implant two embryos. In the combined group, 145 achieved pregnancy and no statistical difference was found between the two groups. However, the number of multiples was much higher within the group that transferred two embryos. Read
